Dean worked for Donny Sands Builders and later in the Laborers Union #639 for the Greenlees Company. Dean enjoyed hunting, working and being with his grandchildren. Dale and MaryAnn (Moulds) Aldrich along with Martin, Camille, and Candace and her family live in Maricopa, Az. --------------- Dale Aldrich's wife Maryann (Moulds) Aldrich's mother Mary Virginia (Wolf) Moulds's obituary - Mary Virginia (Wolf) Moulds - TUCSON, Ariz. - Former longtime Hutchinson resident, Mary V. Moulds, passed from this world into the next at her home in Tucson, Arizona, on June 7, 2010. Mary was born at her parent's home in Ponca City, Oklahoma, on December 23, 1920, to Homer Henry Wolf and Drucella Lee (Graham) Wolf. Her parents preceded her in death. Mary's parents moved to rural Sedgwick County, Kansas, where she and her sisters were raised at her father and mother's gas station and farm on Highway 81 south of Newton, Kansas. Mary attended Doty School (a one-room school) in rural Harvey County. She graduated from Sedgwick Senior High School, Sedgwick, Kansas, and attended El Dorado Junior College, El Dorado, Kansas. During World War II, Mary worked at Cessna Aircraft plant in Wichita, Kansas as a wing upholsterer. Mary left Cessna to marry U.S. Navy Electrician First Class John Joseph Moulds of Newton, Kansas. They were married September 25, 1943, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newton, Kansas. With an honorable discharge from the Navy at the end of World War II, John and Mary settled in Abilene, Kansas, where he started work for Kansas Power and Light at the generating plant before transferring to the Hutchinson generating station. John and Mary lived in Hutchinson from 1950, to 2004. John retired as a senior foreman after 46 years of service to Kansas Power and Light (Western Resources). John preceded Mary in death on November 2, 2002. Mary moved to Tucson, Arizona in the fall of 2004 and suffered a stroke February 2005. Mary worked for several years in Hutchinson at St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital in the admission office. During elections, she worked for the Reno County Election Board. Mary volunteered at the Mental Health Association Center of Reno County, the Red Cross, Meals On Wheels and R.S.V.P. Mary was a longtime member of Park Place Christian Church, in Hutchinson, a member of Park Place Christian Woman's Fellowship, Church Women United, and the Mother's Club, all in Hutchinson. Mary was a 32 year member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Unit 68, in Hutchinson and a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 971, in Newton Kansas. Mary had dual membership in two chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star; Silverleaf Chapter # 464 in Hutchinson Kansas and Constellation Chapter #476 in Wichita, Kansas. Mary and John had three children, Mary Ann (Moulds) Aldrich (Maricopa, Arizona), Michael Joseph Moulds (Collinsville, Illinois) and Nancy Jane (Moulds) Niemeir (Tucson, Arizona). All of the children and their spouses survive. Mary is survived by four granddaughters and two grandsons, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary is also survived by her two sisters, Kathryn Lee (Wolf) Cannon of Wichita, Kansas, and Charlotte Rose (Wolf) Crawford of Sedelia, Missouri. A memorial service is being planned for October in Hutchinson, Kansas, with inurnment of the ashes to be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Newton, Kansas, following the service. The family requests memorials for Mary to be sent to the Hutchinson Public Library, in lieu of flowers. -------------- Dale Aldrich's wife Maryann (Moulds) Aldrich's aunt and her mother Mary Virginia (Wolf) Moulds's sister Kathryn Lee (Wolf) Cannon's obituary - Cannon, Kathryn Lee (Wolf), 95, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange, Georgia. She was born Sept. 2, 1917, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, daughter of Henry and Drucella Wolf. On Sept. 2, 1940, she married John D. Cannon in Ft. Worth, Texas. They settled in Wichita, Kansas. Kathryn attended Wichita Business College. She worked for CPA firms, Air Corp at the Municipal Airport, the regional postal office headquarters, and the VA Medical Center from which she retired at age 70. Three weeks later she began work for the Salvation Army gift planning department and again retired at age 82, Kathryn (Kay) was a long time member of Hillside Christian Church. She was an active member of Constellation/Ivy Leaf chapters of Eastern Star, Zohar Temple of the Daughters of the Nile, Amaranth, and White Shrine. She also enjoyed square dancing and ballroom dancing. Surviving are two children, John C. Cannon of Burke, Virginia, and Kathy Lee Matthews of Hogansville, Georgia; two grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson. Jackie Jones's great great great grandmother Catherine Westfall was born in 1820-1825, the daughter of my great great grandfather Jacob C. Westfall. She married John Jack in 1841. They had a son Salathiel Jack (Jackie Jones's Great Great grandfather). Salathiel Jack was a soldier of the Confederacy in the Civil War. In 1862 his father John Jack died and he left the army to go home and help get game to eat for his mother Catherine who had nothing to eat for her and her family. He said his army tour of duty was up, but shortly after he came home he was captured by soldiers and charged with desertion. He was sent to prison at Camp Chase near Columbus, Ohio. Later his family had to go post bond to get him probation. Salathiel Jack (1842-1886) was the son of John and Catherine (Westfall) Jack. He married Mary Jane Nichols in 1867. She was born in 1838 and died in 1882 in Roane County, West Virginia. She was the daughter of J.N. and Nancy Nichols. Salathiel and Mary Jane (Nichols) Jack's son Lorenzo Jack (1869-1923) married Susan Luverna Greathouse Longfellow (1871-1897). Jack was born in VA estimated about 1816. DEATH: John J. Jack probably died around 1862. At this time in history the Civil War was raging. Salathiel JACK, eldest son of John J. JACK, had enlisted in the Confederate Army in Charleston VA (WV) July 20, 1861. He was a Pvt. Co. G, 60 Reg't Virginia Infantry. He was in a battle in South Carolina and the Richmond Battle. He deserted the Confederate Army Oct. 9, 1862 and returned to Roane Co., WV where John J. and Catherine were living at the time. It is believed that he deserted, in part, because of the death of his father, and returned home to help his mother, Catherine, on the family farm. He was captured Nov. 3, 1862 by the 9th VA Reg't Vol., and sent to prison at Camp Chase in Ohio near Columbus, Ohio Nov. 13, 1862. He was transferred to Cairo, IL Nov. 20, 1862 for prisoner exchange. Born in Huntington on September 5, 1939, the eldest daughter of the late Muss and Cleo Ross. Recently preceded in death by her husband William F. "Bill" Jones. Survivors include one daughter Sherry Salyers; one son Jerry Kitchen; one brother, Bill Ross; one sister and brother-in-law, Glenna and Jack Young; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Betsey Jones. I do know that Catherine & John J were in the French Creek area and that they moved to Roane Co and that on John's will two of Catherine's brothers were witnesses, so at least part of her family moved also. Her grandfather was William Shannon Sr.'s son William Shannon Jr. who was born in PA and died in Ohio and married Mary Jane Gargey in PA. Her Father was William Shannon Jr's son Abraham Shannon (9-20-1830 to 11-6-1903) and her mother was Amanda (Elban) Shannon (8-2-1840 to 1896). Her father was born in Licking Co. Ohio, and died in Toronto, Woodson Co., Kansas. Her mother was born in Utica, Ohio, and died in Wilson Co., Kansas. In 1878 at the age of 21 my grandfather Jasper Mifflin Westfall married his first wife Mary Jane Shannon. That same year they moved with her parents accompanying to near Coyville, Kansas. It was near the Oklahoma line. He farmed near Coyville, Kansas in the 1880's when he was married to his first wife Mary Jane Shannon. They had 6 daughters-Eva, Nora, Stella, Mamie, Grace, and Marietta who died when a baby. In about 1886 he and his family went with a team of oxen pulling his wagon from Kansas to W. Virginia where he was born. He lived near Reedyville (now Reedy), W. Virginia in Roane County. At least two of his uncles lived there at the time, and an aunt Merinda sister to his father, having moved there from Lewis County W. Virginia. There in about 1893 after divorcing his first wife Mary Jane Shannon, he met and married my father's mother and my grandmother Frances McCaulley. Shortly after their marriage they then left West Virginia and settled in the Jersey County, IL area about 1893. My grandfather Jasper Mifflin Westfall married his second wife Frances McCaulley in 1893 in West Virginia. She was born 11-16-1869 in West Virginia and died 1-18-1936 at her residence on her farm near Fieldon, Jersey County, IL. They had 4 sons--my father Walter Edward Westfall, Alonzo (Lonnie) Westfall, Jasper Westfall, and Floyd Westfall, and 2 daughters--Laura Westfall, and Anna Westfall.
