He died at 5:10 pm on December 2 a Jersey Community Hospital. A machinist in ammunition production, he was born may 14, 1898 in Missouri, a son of William and Emma Bunch Miller. His survivors are his wife, the former Ruea Evans; four Sons, Earsie L. Miller of Fieldon, Dallas D., Carl D., and Ira W. Miller, all of Jerseyville; three daughters; Mrs. Floyd (Marie) McIntire, Grafton, Mrs. Leroy (Irene) Wells, Bloomington and Mrs. Steve (Margaret) Evancho, Jerseyville, 59 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren. One brother, Clark Miller, Jerseyville and a sister, Lula Short of St. Louis. Two sons, Leo and Loya, preceded him in death. She was born in Missouri, a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Brakefield) Evans. On September 19, 1917 she married C. Marvin Miller in Missouri. He died December 2, 1977. Surviving are four sons, Earsie Miller of Fieldon, Dallas and Carl Miller, both of Delhi, and ira Miller of Jerseyville; three daughters Dolly McIntire and Margaret Evancho, both of Jerseyville, and Irene wells of Bloomington; 56 grandchildren, 76 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carrie Wilkinson. Two sons preceded her in death, Leo and Loy Miller. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 pm Saturday With services at 1 pm Sunday at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville. She married 2nd Floyd A. McIntire on Aug. 2, 1944, in Jerseyville. He died Feb. 21, 1990. McIntire, Betty McIntire, and Jane McIntire. -------------- Charles Marvin and Ruea (Evans) Miller's daughter - Dollie Marie McIntire, 79, formerly of Jerseyville and Godfrey, died at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, at Alton Memorial Hospital, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family, after entering a peaceful rest. She was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Enough, Mo., to Charles Marvin and Reau (Evans) Miller. She married Floyd A. McIntire on Aug. 2, 1944, in Jerseyville. He died Feb. 21, 1990. A loving and devoted wife and mother, she was homemaker and farmer and leaves behind many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will cherish her memory. Her legacy is her faith in God and devotion to her children. Surviving are 12 children and their spouses, Lloyd and Denise McIntire of Jackson, Mich., Barbara and John Wiley of Godfrey, Joan McIntire of Albany, Mo., Pat and Joe VanWalleghen of O'Fallon, Mo., Sandy Compton of Alton, Dollie and John Klaas of Kane, Pearl and Terry Fester of Dow, Bessie Walker of Alton, Raymond and Kandy McIntire of Bethalto, Mary J. Johnson of Godfrey, Betty Finch of Wood River and Virginia and Paul Ward of Jerseyville; 34 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren, with whom she played a vital role in their lives; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Steve Evancho of Godfrey; and a brother, Dallas Delmar Miller of Delhi. Wilma was born July 31, 1930 (died 3-4-91 age 60 of breast cancer), and they had 4 children-Ronald Griffin, David Griffin, Rosemary Griffin, and Mitchell Griffin. ------------ Virginia Griffin married Paul V. Ward May 28, 1960, in Pittsfield, IL. He was born March 3, 1941 in Jerseyville, IL, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Franz) Ward. Paul died April 16, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Health Care in St. Louis, MO. His burial was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Jerseyville, IL. Paul and Virginia (Griffin) Ward had 3 children-Martin Ward; Bonnie Ward who married Mark Helfer, the son Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Helfer; and Anna Ward who married R. Calvin Keaton. Paul V. Ward's great grandparents on his mother's side were - William Charles and Mary Grace (Franklin) Franz. William Charles Franz was born 08 April 1840 in St. Louis, Missouri. William was the first of two children born to William Franz and Catherine (HAAS) Franz. William died in Grafton (Jersey County), Illinois on 25 January 1912, and was buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale (Jersey County), Illinois. Mary Grace (Franklin) Franz was born 10 June 1851 in Missouri. Mary Grace was one of four children born to George Franklin and Caroline (Wolff) Franklin. Mary Grace died in 1926 in Jersey County, Illinois and was buried in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, (Jersey County), Illinois. Paul V. Ward's grandparents on his mother's side were - Charles Philip and Martha Louise (Thurm) Franz. Charles Philip Franz was born 01 December 1872, in St. Louis, Missouri. Charles was the second of twelve children born to William Charles and Mary Grace (Franklin) Franz. Charles died in Alton (Madison County), Illinois on 15 April 1942, and was buried in Hartford Cemetery, Grafton (Jersey County), Illinois. Martha Louise (Thurm) Franz was born 18 May 1877, in Saxony, Germany. Martha was the first of five children born to Charles Victor and Louisa Agnes (Helling) Thurm. Martha died 18 September 1934, and was buried in Hartford Cemetery. Charles and Martha married 20 January 1898 in Jersey County, Illinois. They settled in Grafton, Illinois, known as "Williams Hollow," and farmed the land known as the "home place." Twelve children were born of their marriage. Victor and his wife Agnes Helling Thurm and their daughters were from Saxony area of Germany and came to the area about 1883. Their daughter Hattie was married to Oscar Dabbs and lived in later years on Rt 16 east of Jerseyville. Their daughter Martha was married to Charles Franz of Grafton and their farm is now part of the park. Victor and family are buried at Rosedale and Martha and Charles at Hartford Cemetery. --------------- Virginia (Griffin) Ward's husband Paul V. Ward's obituary - Paul V. Ward, 69, died at 8:52 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at St. John's Mercy Health Care in St. Louis. He was born March 3, 1941, in Jerseyville, the son of Arthur and Agnes (Franz) Ward, now deceased. He married Virginia Griffin May 28, 1960, in Pittsfield, Ill. She survives. He retired in 1998 after 26 years as owner and operator of Wards Meat Processing in Jerseyville. He enjoyed fishing and boating and spending time with his family. He was a member of Jerseyville Masonic Lodge No. 394 and past member of Jerseyville Moose Lodge No. 695, Jerseyville Eagles Lodge No. 2747 and Jerseyville Elks Lodge No. 594. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Martin, and Adrienne Ward of Belleville; daughters, Bonnie and Mark Helfer of Jerseyville and Anna and R. Calvin Keaton's father Larry Baron Keaton's obituary - Keaton, Larry Baron Age 70, of Park Forest died at 1:45 a.m. July 8, 2011 at his home in Park Forest. He was born on March 24th, 1941 in San Antonio, Texas, the beloved son of Mary Elizabeth Keaton and R. Roy Keaton. Larry was a veteran of the Vietnam War who lived most of his life in Park Forest. He traveled extensively in his work as a Field Service Engineer and after his retirement in 2001, he still enjoyed relaying stories of the exotic places he visited such as the Philippines and Israel. Larry also enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on cars. He spent most of his time since retirement building street rods and was extremely proud of his custom 1934 Ford 3-window coupe! Franz, whose death occurred Tuesday morning, September 18, at six o'clock at her home near Grafton. Rev., Henry Heyer of Grafton will officiate and interment will be in the Hartford cemetery. Franz, age 70, and passed away on May 25, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family. Darell worked at H-O Machine Shop for 32 years before opening his own business, Franz Automotive Machine in 2000. Darell enjoyed fishing, hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling and most of all spending time at his machine shop. Kenneth was born on September 17, 1930, in Grafton, Ill., the son of Leo P. and Lucille I. Wallace Franz. He married Dottie June Cates on August 6, 1952, in Grafton and she survives. Other surviving relatives include three daughters, Debbie (Olin) Hill of Jerseyville, Ill., Beth (Stan) Sidwell of Godfrey, Ill. and Martha (Rueben) Inofuentes of the State of California; and a son, Mark (Diane) Franz of New Hartford; fourteen grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Maurice (Judy) Franz of Greenfield, Ill. Kenneth grew up on the family farm in Grafton, Ill., continuing to farm along with working at the Grafton Boat Works Company and Alton Venture Store as a mechanic. He loved farming so he and Dottie moved to New Hartford in 1984 buying a farm where he could continue do to what he enjoyed. He attended the First Baptist Church in Grafton and also attended several of the rural Baptist churches in the New Hartford area. Ward's brother Charles Arthur Ward's obituary - Charles Arthur Ward, 88, died at 11:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at the Liberty Village in Pittsfield. He was born in Jersey County on July 11, 1924, and was the son of the late Arthur Jonah and Agnes R. (Franz) Ward. Charles married the former Elizabeth Louise Mielke on Nov. 21, 1945, at the rectory of St. Francis Xavier Church in Jerseyville, and they shared 62 years together before her death on May 31, 2008. He began working for the City of Jerseyville after his marriage, and was employed there for seven years. He than began working for Calhoun County Construction of Springfield, Ill., and was the Superintendent for Road and Bridge Construction, retiring in 1984. After his retirement, he and his wife owned and operated "The Shoe Factory" in downtown Jerseyville, and later he began doing carpentry and construction under the canopy of Ward Enterprises. He was a 60-year volunteer for the City of Jerseyville Fire Department, and spent the majority of that time as Assistant Fire Chief. He was proud of his involvement with the department and cherished the many friendships that he made along the way. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Moore of Jerseyville; a son and daughter-in-law, Denny and Debbie Ward of Jerseyville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Scott and Lisa Moore, Sheri and Richard Clanton, all of Jerseyville, Drs. He was born March 8, 1933, in Jerseyville, IL, to Jonah A. and Agnes R. Franz Ward. He married Patricia K. Hardwick on June 12, 1993, and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Michael (Sue) Ward of Aurora, CO, and Shiona Ward of Aurora, CO; stepchildren, Deb Burns of Glasford, Pat (Roger) Clemens of Yates City, Mike (Connie) Hardwick of Manito and Mark Hardwick of East Peoria; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Hollis Ward of Dow. Burch November 27, 1957 in Nebo, IL (She Died: Oct. 27, 2004). He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was retired November 30, 1996 as a Journeyman at the Laclede Steel Machine Shop. She was born in Meppen, Il on Jan. 20, 1930, and was one of eight children born to Albin "AJ" and Frances (Smith) Tepen. As a young girl, her family moved to Carrollton, where she attended the Dover School in rural Greene County, and after the completion of her eighth grade year, moved to Jerseyville, where she has remained. Kates' life could be described in two words, faith and family. She was a devoted and faithful Catholic being baptized at a very young age at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Meppen, and a longtime and faithful member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville. She was also a loving and devoted wife and mother who gave everything she had to her children and grandchildren. She had a deep love for her husband, and enjoyed the many moments that they spent camping and fishing both as a couple and also with family.She married Donald Lee Ward on July 31, 1948 at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Jerseyville, and together they shared nearly 52 years together, as well as the joys and responsibilities of raising their family of eight children before his death on April 16, 2000.She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Martha Ward, William and Cathie Ward of Jerseyville, Sharon and Kenny Thomas of Fieldon, Richard and Vonda Ward, Donna and Dennis Fry, Robin and Mike Groppel, and Roger and Jill Ward all of Jereyville; a daughter in- law, Anita Ward of Jerseyville; 22 Grandchildren; 33 Great Grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers in-law, Dorothy Tittle, Esther and Dale Foiles, and Gertrude Nevlin all of Jerseyville, and Adele and Bill Randolph of Carrollton; and a sister in-law, Genevieve Tepen of Jerseyville. He came into this world on Aug. 25, 1987 in Jerseyville, IL., and was one of five children born to John Carl & Dollie Josephine (McIntire) Klaas. "Chewy" as he was know by many, graduated with the Class of 2006 at Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville. He had previously worked at Cargill Meat Processing in Beardstown, and had just recently returned from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., where he had worked passionately with those battling addicition. He recently began working at Alero Steel in St. Louis, where he was a forklift operator. Work was a necessity, but having a good time was a priority. Matthew was full of laughter and loved and lived life to the extreme. A daredevil by nature, there was nothing that he wouldn't try or a prank that he was afraid of pursuing. He was comfortable in the outdoors, where he enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling and landscaping work. He most cherished times however were spent with his amazing son, Lucas and his dog, Moxie. He married the former Lily Mae Andrews on Oct. 26, 1951, in Hardin, and they shared nearly 50 years together before her death on March 2, 2001. As a young boy, his family moved to Jersey County, and he has been a resident there for his entire life. Shortly after his marriage, he served with the U.S. Army overseas during the Korean War, and after discharge, soon became employed with Olin Corporation, where he worked in shipping as well as a forklift operator for 31 years, before retiring in 1985. In his spare time, Delmar loved to be outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, or in his healthier days, being in the woods cutting timber. He was born April 8, 1936, in Sullivan, Mo., one of nine children of Charles Marvin and Ruea (Evans) Miller. The U.S. Army veteran was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for many years working for several companies, driving throughout the country. However, when the opportunity presented itself, he began a truly enjoyable experience working alongside his daughter and son-in-law at Len's Towing, where he continued to assist until recently. He married the former Gail L. Gray on Oct. 25, 1958, in Elsah. She survives. Also surviving are four children and their spouses, Carla and Robert Lindley Jr. of Bethalto and David and Janet Miller, Sue and Bob Stilts and Stacey and Steve Wock, all of Jerseyville; as the founder of the "Grandpa Club", seven grandchildren, Heather and Megan Miller, Bradley, Brandon and Kaitlyn Wock and Matthew and Ryan Lindley; a brother, Dallas Miller of Delhi; and two sisters, Marie McIntyre of O'Fallon, Mo., and Margaret Evancho of Godfrey. He was born in Pine Valley, Ok., on Feb. 22, 1937, the son of the late Ona R. and Evelyn (Upchurch) Ramsay Sr. After the death of his father at a very young age, his mother remarried Almarsten Tracy Hale, who also preceded Onie in death. He graduated in 1955 from MarVista High School in Imperial Beach, Ca., and while residing in California, he had worked as a service manager/shop manager at Scott Machinery as well as a John Deere dealership both in San Diego. He and his wife, Shirley, moved out of California in 1990, and located in the small community of Otterville. He soon began employment as a mechanic and shop foreman for Bob Cunningham Waste Disposal of Medora, and provided the residents of Otterville a pleasant little grocery store known as F.O.G.S. (Friendly Otterville Grocery Store) for numerous years. He married the former Shirley Ann Cason on Sept. 12, 1965 in Winter Haven, Ca., and were just shy of 10 days of celebrating their 46th wedding anniversary, prior to her death on Sept. 2, 2011. He then married Lena (Hetzel) Miller on Nov. 17, 2012 at the Fieldon Baptist Church. The death of Loya Miller, 48, of Frankfort, Missouri, in a crawler tractor accident Friday morning on the farm of Becker brothers in English township was the second tragic event to occur in the Miller family within a few days time. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Miller of Fieldon are the great grandparents of Shannon Lee and Darrell Edward, 3 and 1 year old sons of Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson of Jerseyville, who lost their lives in the destruction by fire of the family home on February 23. Miller, father of twelve, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Jersey Community hospital at ten fifty-five o'clock am. The Missouri man, formerly of Jersey County, had been operating a crawler tractor pushing a tree out of a ditch. According to reports, a limb of the tree struck Miller inflicting fatal injuries. An inquest will be held later by coroner Rodney Jacoby. Visitation hours were held at Jacoby Brothers Chapel where services were conducted at one-thirty o'clock Monday afternoon by Rev. Dorcie Hill. Eva was gifted with an amazing amount of artistic creativity and loved to paint, crochet, quilt, cross-stitch and made or decorated many her own clothes. She was also an excellent mother who raised four wonderful and responsible children. Children of Salvatore (Samuel) Albani and Giovanne Angilica Albani were-Giuseppa Albani born in 1908 and Giuseppe (Joseph) Albani (1911-1913), died of scalding. ------------------- ALBANO, SAMUEL/Source: Alton Evening Telegraph, March 28, 1911 --- Absorbed in Letter, Foreigner Has Both Legs Cut Off by Cars - A foreigner, employed on the Big Four railroad, lost both his legs Tuesday morning by being run over by a cut of cars at the foot of Ridge street. He was walking down Ridge street, his attention engrossed in reading a letter he had received from home. He was paying no attention to the approach of some cars which were being pushed along by the levee engine, and was struck and knocked down. The wheels passed over both his legs, one above and one at the knee. The legs were almost completely severed and the men who went to him say that they finished the amputation of some shreds of flesh, seeing that the legs could not be saved. He was taken to the hospital to have his injuries given attention. The man is an Italian, and his name is Samuel Albano. His nerve was perfect. Men who witnessed the accident said that he did not utter an outcry, and even when the legs were off, he sat up and talked to the men around him as though he was not hurt at all. At the hospital he exhibited such nerve as the old Roman gladiators had. This afternoon it was said that he was in a fairly good condition, but the injuries are so bad he will probably die. Coroner Streeper took charge of the body, which will probably be buried by friends of the dead man. The wife and children of Albano are in Italy, and were expecting to sail for America April 10. They will be notified of the death of their husband and father, and they will probably not make the trip if the word reaches them in time. There is a possibility that the family may not be found and may make their contemplated start anyhow. When she buried her little son, Joseph, this afternoon, she buried him in a strange land. Some time ago, the day she was sailing for America, her husband was killed by a train in Alton, and an effort was made to get word to her, but she could not be informed until the day she arrived in Alton, joyful in her expectation of being reunited with her husband and the father of her child. The child, as has been told, died from being scalded to death Monday night. Alton Evening Telegraph, April 25, 1913 - Suit For Husband's Death - A suit for damages against the C. and A. Railroad for the death of Samuel Albani is set for hearing in the Circuit Court April 31, and witnesses are being summoned for the case. Albani was killed in Alton by a train the day his wife sailed for America from Italy, bringing her child with her. A few weeks ago the child was scalded to death. The wife on reaching Alton learned her husband was dead. She filled suit against the railroad company for killing him. Fellow postal workers at the East Alton Post Office left the Mass celebrated by his brother, the Rev. Anthony Trosley, with tears streaming down their faces. Several were too distraught to speak. "Ray was awesome; he was so very thoughtful and kind," fellow carrier Mary Karrick said. "You couldn't help but like Ray; he made us all laugh. He didn't think of himself as important, but he was very important to everyone who knew him." Trosley, 55, died last week after a long battle with cancer. Most of his fellow postal workers attended the Mass through special arrangements made in advance with the officer in charge of the branch, Diane Skelton. She came down to work the window, so Trosley's friends and colleagues could attend the Mass. Several trucks laden with mail were parked outside, because workers had been granted an extended lunch. While many needed to resume their routes, a few fellow letter carriers were able to attend the burial that followed at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton. Mourners included colleagues, family and friends - some of whom knew Trosley as their mailman. "I knew Ray though his wife, Rhonda. My son, Eric, also played in a band with Ray's son, Ryan, and he delivered my mail," said Colleen Drew of East Alton. "Ray loved people. He had a gift to make you always feel good about yourself." Drew said that Trosley had the ability to remember people's names right after meeting them. "Everybody loved him," said Denny Nicholson, who had worked with Trosley for 15 years. "We hit it off immediately. We had a sports connection, and he knew my sister, Wanda, so we were friends since the day we met." Nicholson said that Trosley was always very considerate. When Diane Skelton was promoted, Nicholson recalled how Trosley found a handmade birdhouse to give her as a goodbye gift, because he knew that she would like one. "Ray was a great guy," Nicholson said. Kennedy campaigned for the White House in 1960, he toured the St. Louis area and his motorcade passed through Wood River, Ill. Here he would have a chance encounter with Gaetana Raimondi, my grandmother, or Nana, as we preferred to call her. The encounter says everything about the difference in the hopeful political atmosphere of that time compared to the nasty, personal and media-driven atmosphere of our time. Members of St. Bernard parish were thrilled to learn that Sen. Kennedy was going to ride right down Ferguson Avenue, our main drag. The nuns wouldn’t let the kids out of school to see the event – I suspect our pastor supported Richard Nixon -- but our stay-at-home moms and relatives all lined the curb to see the future president. As Kennedy’s limo passed in front of Phoebe Goldberg’s dress shop, Nana – four-feet-ten inches of energy topped with gray hair pulled into a bun – clapped and shouted “Oh Johnny-Johnny” with great enthusiasm. (Enthusiasm was her constant companion.) JFK turned in her direction, winked and flashed a big Kennedy smile. Nana was forever smitten. And that’s it. A student would have recorded the exchange on a digital camera and posted it on an Internet political blog, where the local TV station news director would find it. He would assign an earnest young reporter with a Rod Blagojevich makeup job to interview Nana. She would have blurted something about why she was so enthusiastic about Kennedy’s candidacy – he was Catholic after all. The reporter would have asked about the people who were afraid a Catholic president would take orders from the pope. She would have said, well of course he’ll take orders from the pope, because that was how things worked in her world. It would have appeared on the St. Louis TV news that night, and it would have been fed to network headquarters in New York. There, a savvy producer would have ordered a background check on Nana, only to discover she was a Sicilian immigrant who failed her citizenship exam because she had problems speaking English -- although she was a legally registered alien and married to a naturalized citizen. AP would also find that her husband voted in every election, but they let him take a grandson into the booth to help him read the ballot. They would be shocked during their scripted banter time to quote a neighbor: One of Tony Raimondi’s favorite lines is how he voted for the person who paid the most money. What’s more, they would discover Nana regularly entertained a man with the same last name as that of the St. Louis Mafia family. He made Sunday deliveries of olive oil, black olives, Parmesan and Ricotta cheeses right to her front door. Hmmm, what does one have to do to get such service? They would further learn that her son-in-law, a grocer in St. Louis, was related to an alderman with major connections to the powerful Mayor Raymond Tucker Democratic machine. (Wink-wink: Note the similarities between Raimondi and Raymond.) Fox or CNN would have sent a crew to their house at 318 East Penning Ave. (now a parking lot), and grandpa would have threatened to punch someone out, as he was on occasion wont to do – making for some almost-violent footage. My late aunt – she would have curdled Hillary Clinton’s toes in a one-on-one -- would have come to Sunday dinner even angrier than Grandpa, and she would have punched somebody. There would have been much talking loudly and much eating, also loudly, and Nana would have been upset and my mother would have cried. H. Stiles, 1100 E. Fifth St., where had made his home since the death of his wife, Phyllis, three ears ago today. A native of Alia, Italy, he was born March 2, 1872. He came to the United States in 1906. He had completed 35 years service in railroad work at time of his retirement in 1947. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Paul Alben, Phoenix, Ariz, and Mrs. Stiles, Alton; two sons Angelo and Vincent of Alton; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mr. Taulli was a long-time member of St. Mary's parish and funeral rites Wednesday at 11 a.m. will be conducted in the church. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery. He was born on August 18, 1928, in Alton, the son of Albert and Marie (Boercker) Waters. Don married Phyllis Taulli on April 25, 1953, and celebrated 61 years of marriage. He graduated from Marquette High School in 1946. Don served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Japan from 1946 to 1948. He attended Drake University. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Shell Oil Company for 35 years, where he retired in December 1986. Don was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton where he was active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He also served as an usher and lector. Don was also a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church in Alton until it closed. He was active in scouting, bingo and annual turkey dinners. He also served as an usher and lector. He attended the White House Retreat in St. Louis for over 10 years. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed by his wife, Phyllis Waters of Alton, three daughters and three sons-in-law, Donna and Bob Aszman of Peachtree City, Ga., Sharon and Tom Hettel of St. Charles, Mo., Laura and Tim Powers of Quincy, four sons and two daughters-in-law, David Waters of St. Louis, Thomas and Charli Waters of Alton, Michael and Susan Waters of Shipman, and Robert Waters of St. Louis; fourteen grandchildren, Matt, Julie, Danielle, Rebecca, Jordan, Karley, John, Jake, Tim, Sara, Chris, Angie, Emily and Rachel; four great-grandchildren, Avery, Ella, William and Carson; two sisters, Dolores Weaver of Alton, Mary Sue Winkler of Alexandria, Va.; one brother, Gerald Waters of Gresham, Ore. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Rolando.
